MAD SUMMER was created with a traveler girl in mind, with a love for dress up, adventure and fun. Since the very first piece that was designed in our studio, we knew that our muse is a free-spirited young jet-setter. We wanted to share why we think travel is a great source of inspiration in the design process, and how we incorporate our love for travel in our collections.

To begin with, we would like to have a style that would embody the tropical summer – styles that are somewhat playful. The careless beach holidays in boutique hotels of South East Asia served as our main inspiration. Innocent cuteness here mixes up with just the right amount of sexy to make sure that our muses look their absolute best from day to night: from beach-club parties to sunset dinners in luxury hotels.

Secondly, we also would like to have a style that allows for more sophistication, and our inspiration here were dynamic city lifestyle of warm destinations. Setting on a mission to create pieces with a statement, yet to not sacrifice the simplicity of lines, we produced a line that is just perfect for a city break holiday, summertime date night or fashion-forward girls night out on vacations.

So why are we so inspired by travel? It is easy — because travel makes life more exciting, it can teach us many new things, and it also allows to appreciate small things in life: great company, good food, beautiful landscape, quiet time with a book…

You do not need to go far to make the travel exciting, — even going to a city nearby or driving to a new beach can be a great thing! Getting a new wardrobe can set you in the mood, especially when the place you are going to is photogenic! And who does not love a great photo to post on Instagram?
